How do I best describe myself?

I can say my demographics - I am from rural Illinois (Not Chicago) and raised in a middle-class home. I am a white single female in my early 40s with no kids. But I don’t like to just be this - since I have deeply related to content written by a married black male with children who was raised in a city. This is a reminder that we are all human beings and more than our gender, race, and so forth. If you don’t believe in common humanity - I am probably not the person for you.

I can tell you about my education and career - how I am an Industrial Engineer with an MBA and work for a large cooperation, but I am more than my education and job.

I can tell you about my hobbies - I enjoy photography, woodworking, artistic exploration, jigsaw puzzles, legos, reading, watching tv, being active (I walk/run, golf, and go to CrossFit), and trying new foods and drinks. I have a wide range of interests and hobbies.

There are so many ways to describe ourselves… but I think the best way is through our values since it is the foundation of everything else and makes us who we are.

My Top Values:
Authenticity: Being myself and speaking my truth
Creativity: Expressing myself through art; Problem Solving
Growth Mindset: Curious and open minded; exploring and discovering
Determination: Strength and courage to get back up and try again
Connection: Authentic, genuine relationships. Encouraging others to achieve their goals.
Self-Care: Taking care of myself – body, mind, and soul

Happiness comes from within
